My name is Kim Paulin. I am excited to be working at Cornerstone Montessori. I have truly enjoyed getting to know the children both in the classroom and on the playground. I continue to be amazed by them daily! I earned my Montessori certification from MECA Seton in Clarendon Hills, Illinois in 2004. In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in Recreation with an emphasis in Outdoor. I have 3 years of experience as a Teaching Assistant: 2 years in Children’s House and 1 year in Lower Elementary (1st to 3rd grade). Prior to having my first son, I worked as a Lead Teacher in a Children’s House classroom for 1 year. After 5 years of being a stay-at-home mom, I am thrilled to be back in the classroom. My youngest son attends preschool at Cornerstone and my eldest son graduated from Kindergarten at Cornerstone in May 2012. Lori, Montessori Co-Lead TeacherMy name is Lori Billman. My history with Montessori and with Cornerstone Montessori School began when I was two and a half years of age. I attended Cornerstone through kindergarten, at which point I went to a public elementary school. Around high school, I returned to Cornerstone as a classroom aide and enjoyed the children here for three years. In 2006, I taught at a couple of other schools, while earning a degree in the Arts, Business Management, and also completed my international Montessori certification. After some great years as a lead and supervisor, I headed back to school. I earned my Masters in Education and Teacher Leadership from the University of Phoenix in May 2012. I am excited to join the Cornerstone staff this year and look forward to taking part in creating an environment to nurture and care for your children! Maria, Assistant/Spanish Language Teacher¡Hola! My name is Maria Magdalena Bell. I am the new classroom assistant/Spanish teacher in the SouthEast Preschool Classroom. This is my first year at Cornerstone Montessori and I am so excited to be here! My teaching experience began with Elementary Spanish Program, a non-profit organization based out of Boulder, Colorado. I taught grades K-6, in Jefferson, Boulder, and Denver counties. I truly love being with children and teaching them new things in the Montessori way. Language is a wonderful thing and I am very grateful to have the opportunity to teach your children. I am looking forward to getting to know all of the students and families at Cornerstone Montessori School. |
