NorthEast Preschool Classroom

Jennifer Day
Teacher

Jennifer is currently a lead teacher in the SouthWest preschool classroom. She was employed at Cornerstone in 2003-2004 as a classroom assistant. She left to pursue endeavors and returned to Cornerstone in January 2006.

Jennifer has completed her Montessori training through Montessori Centre International (MCI) and also has a degree in Psychology with a focus in African American studies from the University of Virginia. Jennifer has worked with children of all ages. She also has experience as a behavioral therapist for autism and counseling at-risk youth. With her free time, Jennifer enjoys hiking, backpacking, photography, climbing and spending time with family.

Malu Sanchez
Montessori Intern/Spanish Teacher

Malu Sanchez has been working at Cornerstone Montessori School since June 2006. Her native language is Spanish, giving her the opportunity to work in our Spanish Immersion Program. Malu moved to the United States from Mexico four years ago. She has a degree in Management. Malu's previous work experience includes working in the Human Resources Department of a mining company in Mexico. She enjoys working with people because working together as a team gets better results. Malu is very excited about teaching and learning from the most important asset for future generations: the CHILDREN.

Marie Bell
Classroom Assistant

Marie Bell grew up in Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and France and speaks fluent French. She has been employed at Cornerstone Montessori School since December 2006. Marie is currently an assistant teacher in the NorthEast classroom. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in French with a minor in Italian from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters in Elementary Education with an emphasis in language arts from the University of Houston. Marie has many years of experience teaching third grade, preschool, and substituting for classes Kindergarten through fifth grade in public schools. She has worked at a variety of other jobs including five years in the Coors' Guest Relations Department.
